Welcome!
You are a spiritual being
on an earthly journey.
Working, paying bills, shopping, exercising (or at least thinking about exercising!), talking, cleaning, whatever – when you get quiet you ache for something more. That’s because you were designed for greatness, for eternity and
the ultimate relationship.
Through real-life stories and analysis, the Thinking Christian Woman elevates everyday life by discovering and uncovering higher meanings.

Hello Melody,
My friend Janet and I met you and your brother at Disneyland not too long ago, and I have enjoyed reading through the posts on your blog. Thank you for sharing that with us.
I took a photo of a picture hanging in the Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street a while back (which I could not attach but would like to send to you. I’ll try putting it on your facebook page.). A woman playing the piano and singing with a chorus of children (?) angels (?) behind her. She seems calm yet joyful, and I imagine that she is praising God in song.
I noticed today that they have closed that entire block while they remodel the Carnation Café. I wonder if this picture will survive. I am reminded of several scriptures, and I think there is another one I could not find about angels responding to our praise:
Luke 15:9-11
New International Version (NIV)
9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Revelation 8:3-5
New International Version (NIV)
3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.
Matthew 21:16
New International Version (NIV)
16 “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him.
“Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read,
“‘From the lips of children and infants
you, Lord, have called forth your praise’
Matthew 21:16
New International Version (NIV)
16 “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him.
“Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read,
“‘From the lips of children and infants
you, Lord, have called forth your praise’
Psalm 22:3
New American Standard
3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
